Make your wishes known

Planning your gift offers a way to give more than you might have thought possible. There are many ways to provide important financial support for the programs and animals of the New Mexico BioPark. Some opportunities allow you to give now and retain a right to income payments for life. Gift planning can help you meet your long-term financial goals.

Types of gifts you may wish to consider include:

Cash Gifts – are always appreciated and are fully tax-deductible.

Bequests – Remember the BioPark Society in your will. Leave a Living Legacy for the future of Albuquerque.

Real and Personal Property – Please consult with us about your needs. The Society will evaluate your gift before acceptance.

Appreciated Securities – Transfer stocks to the Society with tax savings to you.

Gifts of Life Insurance or retirement plan assets – Designate the BioPark Society as a Beneficiary or give the assets outright for tax benefits. New tax laws make giving IRAs very attractive.

Charitable Gift Annuity – In exchange for a gift of cash or property to NMBPS, we agree to make fixed payments to you or your designee for life.

Charitable Remainder Trusts – A trust established in whole or in part for NMBPS, payments are made for life or a term of years and the remainder is distributed to NMBPS.

Charitable Lead Trusts – A trust that receives cash or property from a donor, makes payments to the charity for a specified period and, at the end of the period, distributes the trust property to a specified beneficiary, usually family.

Join the BioPark's Legacy Society

Let us know about your plans to support the long-term needs of the Zoo, Aquarium, Botanic Garden, and Tingley Beach. When you notify us that you have included the New Mexico BioPark Society in your will, or as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or other investment. We appreciate knowing you and your desires for the BioPark, and understanding your wishes for how your gift should be used.

Your notification by phone or mail makes you eligible for membership in the BioPark Legacy Society. Members receive special invitations to BioPark Society events, a lifetime subscription to BioScape magazine, and our sincere gratitude. Your name remains anonymous unless you give us explicit permission to public acknowledge your future plans.
